Melanie is a licensed professional clinical counselor in Ohio and Kentucky. She has been working with children, teens, and families in a therapeutic setting since 2012. Melanie's passions include working with children, adolescents, and adults that have behavioral challenges, depression, anxiety, and trauma. She believes change and healing is always possible. Melanie has experience working in residential treatment, foster care, outpatient settings, and within public schools. Her ultimate goal is to help children and families heal through learning to create healthy bonds and using appropriate ways to express themselves. Melanie has training in Trauma Focused CBT, CBT, EMDR, Person Centered Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Choice Therapy, and DBT.
Megan Martin, LPCC-S graduated from the University of Kentucky in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and from Northern Kentucky University in 2014 with a Master of Science degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Megan has experience ranging from working with children and families to adolescents and adults in a variety of different areas, including school-based and outpatient mental health services, addictions and recovery, the diagnosis and treatment of severe mental illnesses, and the provision of individual and group therapy. She specializes in working with children 8 and under. Megan has training in Play Therapy, Early Childhood Development, Sand Tray, EMDR, and Parent Child Interaction Therapy.
Haley is a licensed professional counselor. Her therapeutic style is best described as interactive and warm. Haley strongly believes in treating her clients with respect, sensitivity and compassion. She does not judge or use stigmatizing labels. Her approach combines cognitive-behavioral,psychodynamic, and dialectical behavioral therapy. She works with individuals, couples, and families struggling with a wide range of issues including depression, anxiety, addiction (substance abuse) and trauma. Katie Schultz is a licensed professional counselor associate. Her counseling style is empathetic, person-centered, and eclectic. Her goal as a counselor is to help clients find healing while creating a safe and welcoming environment to do so. She believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and rapport building and creates a space where clients feel comfortable, safe, and valued. Katie's specialties include anxiety, depression, trauma, communication, attachment, and relationship issues. She works with adolescents, adults, and couples to improve quality of life and teaches coping skills to manage difficult situations. Katie believes that empathy, kindness, acceptance, and safety are necessary for healing.
Kristyn Disibio-Zion is a Clinical Social worker and graduated from Northern Kentucky University and University of Kentucky for her masters degree. Kristyn is trained in EMDR and enjoys working with motivated clients who are ready to improve their lives. Kristyn has experience working with teenagers, families, couples, and adults. Kristyn has experience working with clients with substance use issues, trauma, depression, anxiety, and personality disorders. Kristyn uses CBT, EMDR, DBT, and family systems.
Kristen is a licensed professional clinical counselor in Kentucky and Ohio. She is a 2013 graduate from Syracuse University with a Master’s Degree in Clinical and Mental Health Counseling and Certificate of Advanced Studies in School Counseling. Kristen has worked with children and adolescents since 2015. Kristen enjoys collaborative and supportive work with children and their families, working to increase harmony, increase co-regulation, and strengthen bonds within family systems. She believes that all children and their families come in wanting to learn how to grow and thrive as connected members. Kristen has experience of working with children ages 3-12, helping them with trauma/intergenerational trauma, anxiety, divorce, grief/loss, sensory concerns, and children who find it difficult to regulate. She has worked extensively with foster care and kinship care families and has been honored to be a part of their healing and growing journeys. Kristen has had training in attachment/relational therapy, early childhood development, play therapy technique, polyvagal therapy technique, and is in the process of completing her supervision hours for her basic EMDR training.
Lexi Arsenault is a Licensed Professional Counseling Associate. In counseling, Lexi’s goal is to create a safe space where her clients feel comfortable, heard, and valued. Lexi works with a variety of ages but finds a unique passion for working with adolescents, young adults, and anyone wrestling with trauma, anxiety, relationships, and depression. Those who know Lexi would describe her as warm, empathetic, and centered. She believes it is essential to bring her authentic self to the counseling relationship. Lexi uses a person-centered approach where her clients decide the path of treatment. Lexi also uses an eclectic approach to counseling and pulls from multiple approaches to counseling to meet each client's unique needs and interests.

With a previous background in implementing DBT-based services in a clinical setting, Dickie is eager to contribute his expertise to enhance our therapeutic offerings this semester. Dickie with his supervisor Kristyn Disibio-Zion will co-facilitate sessions (she has a primary focus in EMDR, complex trauma, and abuse recovery). He is passionate in working with marginalized and underserved populations, and previously focused on applying DBT in clinical settings.
Heidi is a Marriage and Family Therapist Associate based in Kentucky, holding a Master of Arts in Marriage, Couples, and Family Counseling from Adler Graduate School. Heidi’s passion is walking alongside individuals, couples, and families and assisting in building enduring, meaningful connections, healing their wounds, and creating the life they desire. Utilizing approaches like Adlerian Psychology, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Attachment Focused Play Therapy, Heidi crafts a therapeutic journey as diverse as the people she serves. Heidi's warm and empathetic demeanor fosters a safe, nurturing space for clients of all ages to explore their emotions and strengthen bonds. Her incorporation of humor, compassion, collaboration, and play breaks down barriers and encourages open communication. Heidi enjoys working with couples, families, and adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, parenting difficulties, and depression.
Liz Dubovsky is a Clinical Social Worker who is known for her non-judgmental approach, empathy, honesty, objectivity, and humor. Liz is trained in EMDR and often uses a mindfulness approach to help her clients learn how to reconnect with the present moment. Liz is
particularly skilled at creating an nonjudgmental environment in which clients can be authentic and confident in her ability to help. She employs a trauma informed focus, and utilizes evidence based interventions including Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR), cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) supportive psychotherapy, and expressive therapy in treating adults with problems related to trauma, addiction, and anxiety. Liz feels that the client-therapist relationship is often the most important factor in

Sarah is a certified social worker committed to helping adolescents and young adults learn how to effectively cope with various life challenges and empower them to make meaningful and purposeful decisions. Sarah's work focuses in depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other emotional distresses. Sarah believes in taking a collaborative approach to helping clients reach their goals. Sarah utilizes person centered approaches to meet her clients compassionately where they are each session. Sarah believes in working with families to better change dynamics to function healthier and promotes a team approach where all voices are heard. Sarah's goals are to help young adults and families create long lasting healing.
Jonathon is a licensed professional counselor associate (LPCA) with a master's degree in clinical mental health counseling from Adler Graduate School (2021.) He is certified in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Psychosis from the University of Washington, and trained in Brainspotting phases one & two, TF-CBT, Emotionally Focused Individual Therapy phase one. Jonathon helps people heal from trauma and live more meaningful lives. He understands that life can be overwhelming and confusing, especially when we are carrying the burden of unhealed wounds. He works with individuals, couples. Jonathon is committed to providing a safe and supportive space where you can heal and grow. Yasmin is a licensed professional clinical counselor; she uses a variety of approaches to customize treatment of every client matching to their unique needs. Yasmin has experience working with various populations including adolescents, children, & couples/families; she’s trained in several different modalities such as Gottman level 1 couples therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Nurturing Parenting Facilitator, and Grief Processing. She believes in a person-centered approach, creating a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative relationship to better help clients understand their own trauma, strengths, and to feel empowered.
Amanda is a clinical social worker and graduated from Northern Kentucky University with her bachelors and masters degree. Amanda’s approach is client centered and compassionate, believing in the importance of rapport. She has experience working with teenagers, families, and adults on a range of issues including anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. Amanda uses CBT, DBT, TF-CBT, and ACT. Amanda believes in meeting clients where they are at, and collaborating to improve day to day quality of life.
Emily is a Clinical Social Worker and works with school-aged children and adolescents to help them have a more positive outlook on life and to help them build resilience and growth mindsets. She believes with a strong faith and trust in God that kids can do anything, trusting the process along the way, and that no matter what we go through we’re never alone. She likes to help those she works with believe in themselves and gain the confidence they need to succeed. Her specialties include trauma, depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, suicide and prevention, peer conflicts, self esteem, and ADHD. She currently provides services at Newport Intermediate Schools and works part time private practice at the Girard location.
Jojo is Healing Haven's insurance/ biller extraordinaire. Jojo enjoys helping the team by leading staff meetings, baking delicious goodies, and coordinating events for the team such as retreats and meditation gatherings.
